From the Laténium archaeological park, embark on a boat trip from the landing stage, a pleasant way to get back to the town centre and enjoy the lake. Walk or ride along the lakeside trail and check out on the way the Neuchâtel Observatory and its “Espace temps” exhibition. A little further on, the Nid-du-Crô swimming pool with its mini-golf course and pedal boats perfectly suited for a family outing.
The Jeunes-Rives public beach (currently being redeveloped) is a popular place to relax. Close by, the Basilica of Notre-Dame of the Assumption, also known as the Red Church, is one of the city’s landmark buildings. To get to the Neuchâtel Museum of Art and History, walk through the Jardin Anglais, a true green oasis in the heart of Neuchâtel. En route, treat yourself to a break at one of the cafés or restaurants whose terraces benefit from an uninterrupted view of the lake.
